Alright, the story is continued from the previous post where my rental was being claimed by my rental agent due to a few reasons. Therefore when I'm back in Brisbane, after settling my new house, I have to start settling my old house's money matters....
First of all, after seeking advices from friends, I called RTA (Residential Tenancies Authority, a government department that helps to solve problems of rental in Australia) and to my surprise, I found out something that made me felt 他妈的岂有此理!!!!!
The RTA consultant told me that my agent had vacated my room on 28th Nov!! and, (take a deep breathe) that's why they said I broke my lease and took $340 from the bond!!! My lease ended by 28th Jan and I paid until that date but in the end, I'm paying a room that had been vacated out.. what's happening??
in short, my agent vacated my room without seeking my permission or even bother to tell me about that. The main point is I keep on paying the rent and they keep on receiving my money, swallowing into their big stomach!!
How can I let this things go?? It's a total of 9 weeks rent leh!!! plus my bond leh? simply simply jau wat me break lease??? Hng! no way!
I tried to email the Vacating and Inspecting Manager but... no reply...
I tried to call to their office but.... the manager is not in...
I tried to call to make appointment but.. the receptionist answered me that 'we don't make appointment for managers'
Alright!!! then i go find u, can??
So in that one fine day, my dear Khai Chin and Wei Jien, both my great housemates go to the agency with me..
Guess what's the 1st sentence the manager said to me when she saw me?

'Oh, I'm very busy and I don't have much time with you.'
ounds as if i'm very free..
When I told her why they claimed my bond, she went to took a piece of paper which should be the end lease contract or sort of that, which stated they vacated my room on 28th November and the reason they claimed my bond, as below:
break lease fee $340
cleaning fee $60
damaged door repairing fee $240
(i wonder they use gold or platinum to fix it)
making a new key $40
(did they put diamond on it?)
When she came in the waiting room with the paper, she told me:
wah, so coincidence hor? I came to your office then so ngam ngam you realised the rent!
nvm nvm nvm.... calm down...
so i asked her why she vacated my room when I said i may be coming back
her ans: I'm not sure, have to check my file
i asked her why they keep on receiving my rent
her ans: i don't know, i have to find out later.
i asked her why they did not tell me they vacated my room
her ans: i can't remember your case, have to find out later
whatever i asked her,
her ans will be: i don't know, i'm not sure, i will find out....
then she still very 'chuan' and tell me:
what attitude is she having? your salary also made up from many dollars, ask your boss no need to remember giving you each and every dollar lo! ok or not?
finally, after long negotiation, she said that she will be calling me on Tuesday evening after she checked everything, but in the end....
of course didn't call me la! i keep on waiting and waiting and waiting... feel like killing her...
when i emailed her, she replied me after 2 days that she was not in office whole day and therefore can't call me!
so in the end, she said that since i said i will be returning to the unit so they did not change key (as if they are so kind and noble), and i returned the key, so they will not charged me on the key and returned $440 of my bond!
i did professional carpet cleaning before i left but guess why they still insist of charging me $60 of cleaning fee???
because my room was very DUSTY wo....
don't know what cleaner so expensive leh? maybe i can apply to be the part time job also...
After calling again and again, i get fed up and fill in the Form16 downloaded from RTA website which is the notice of dispute. I sent this case to RTA hoping they can help me, who knows i receive a reply saying that it's out of the period where i can claim my bond, so RTA can't help me, asked me to submit an application to Small Claims Tribunal to be judged by a referee... which means bringing the issue to the court...
Finally, when i called the agency and out of the blues, Paula answered my call and she said she will direct my case (since it's regarding money) to the accounting department, Brian.
Mr Brian asked me to send him my account details but did not answer/reply me how much will he be going to pay me!
haiz... i don't know when will they pay me,
don't know when will they contact me and
don't know when will this matter solve.....
一波未停, 一波又起
since i took the modem away, my previous housemate can't use the internet when he was back in the room, so now he decided not to pay the money since he didn't get to use the internet when he supposed to use.
he promised me that he will pay me till the end but now, he said it's not fair for him to pay the internet when he didn't get to use it... moreover it's due to my fault...
born in a rich family, yet can be such stingy... and irresponsible..
he can contact me when he did not have internet to use, he got my email and contact number, but in the end, did he? no, he didn't...
he will not contact me if i didn't ask him for the money!
I know it was because of me but did i hope for it? did i expect it?
i did not get to use the internet also mah, what so unfair for him?
what so unfair when from the beginning he planned not to be responsible with this?
avoid from using his name in applying phone line and internet,
avoid in paying me the unpaid internet even before i went back last year,
never pay me phone and internet fee punctually,
never pay me if i don't go and bang his door and asked for it....
So now my account's money is getting lesser and lesser and lesser...
the money i hope to get back is getting further and further and further from me...
my hope...
i'm damn desperate and in super bad mood last few weeks just because of these financial matters that should not even happen on me..
As a consequence of this, i tried to change the Feng Shui of my room! muahahahahaha!
hopefully it helps both in my financial and studies la!
some may say this is true but some don't believe, but why not when it doesn't cost me anything and give me a hope??
please, i sincerely hopes that everyone who so patiently read all the way down this article, pray or wish me that i can get back my money asap!
