5S1 Class Gathering
It has been 3 years since I graduated from secondary school and I didn't see most of my old friends.... I wasn't in Ipoh the last time they had class gathering, so I must not miss this one...
My 5s1 class rep and I were the organiser...
Finally, there were 21 people who attended this gathering.. though 21 is not a lot compared to my total number of classmates, it's a great number.. many were not in Ipoh, in fact many were not in Malaysia...
but nvm, my dear fellow friends, though u may not be able to attend this gathering due to different reasons, to us, you were there with us...
Quiz time for 5s1 member:
What is 5s1's slogan??

I've been to many caves in Ipoh except the very famous majestic white marbles and limestone
So at my age of 20, my summer holiday in 2009, I went to this Gua Tempurung with Jeremy, Ang and Wei Jien.
This cave is located in Gopeng, Perak and stretches 1.9km in length. Being one of the largest natural limestone structure in Malaysia, why is it named as Tempurung (coconut shell)????
I thought it was because of it's mountain's structure like coconut shell.. but doesn't seem to be so...
Don't look like tempurung, right? So I went online to check out why is it so....
The answer is.....
This cave has many different combed dimentions but the most significant thing is Gua Tempurung has 5 huge domes with ceilings resembling coconut shells. Each of this dome has many different breathtaking stalagmites, stalactites and other superb stone formations. Every dome has different type of limestone formation due to the difference of temperature, water level and marble's contents.
According to the website's information, there are a few types of tours that we can choose from. But what not in the website is we have to have at least 8 people to follow the third and fourth tour... *nearly fainted*
we only have 4, at most 5.
(my dad drove us there and actually he can join us.. he didn't in the end to teman my mum... nice husband leh??? hehe..)
After waiting and waiting and waiting, finally there was a group of tourists that followed one of the tourist centre wanted third tour too!!
Yeah!! Finally we can go in!!!
** one reminder here, I asked the tourist centre how much will it cost if we followed their tours.. if I directly register at the counter of the cave, it costs me RM11;
but if I follow the tourist centre, it costs at least RM50 per person and self-prepared transport...
See how much the difference???
Though they provided us the safety equipment, we don't know who used those equipment and we don't need those equipements at all!!!
See?? If you wan to follow the tourist centres, why not find me?? Hehe....
Oh!! Going IN!!!
Oh ya, we had a tour guide that lead us all the way and explained everything that we wanted to know.
We had to climb 640 steps to 120metres high!!!
Some of the pictures and formations of the limestone:
(i drew some red lines around to show what the tour guide showed us...)
the tour guide said some people believed that there is a spirit..
信不信就见仁见智了!
After the susah stairs climbing up and down, finally got something fun to play with!
The wet trip!!!
The tour took us 2 and half hours and it was FUN and EXCITING!!! I'm not regret at all even though it's quite tiring!!!
Gua Tempurung is fun, nice and worthy to go AGAIN!!! hehe.. who wants to go?? =P
** add on:
before sending Jeremy back to Taiping and Ang back to BM, we went back home to bath and.....
Gambling?? nope, just playing la... we don't gamble..
JEREMY!!!
Hehehehe!!! Definitely not me! I lost almost every round... not really because of my bad skill...
Main reason is Ang is disturbing me!! He keeps on talking and talking...
For eg:
1. when i got no '2' with me, he can say: "妹妹, 你拿着那么多2 做什么? 妈吗说2 是最小的..."
2. out of sudden, he said: "妹妹, 你的卡不错嘛...."
his '妹妹' is very Gam Yu Lou style de~~
with this kind of disturbance, how am I able to concentrate playing leh???
